The English Nook February 17, 2025

1. For homework, I want you to imagine you are a news reporter. Prepare and record a 2-3 minute news report about a real or fictional event. You can:

  • Choose a news topic (e.g., politics, technology, entertainment, sports, or a local event).
  • Write a short script using at least 5 vocabulary words from our lesson (e.g., to keep somebody posted, coverage, broadcast, tabloid, feature, headline).
  • Record yourself presenting the news as if you were on TV or radio. Try to sound clear and confident.
  • Reflect: After recording, listen to yourself and write down 2 things you did well and 1 thing to improve.
2. Watch the following video and we will discuss it next class.
